The Sixth Thailand Materials Science and Technology Conference

Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the organizing committee of MSAT-6, we would like to inform you that the deadline of papers submission was extended to May 24, 2010The Sixth Thailand Materials Science and Technology Conference or MSAT-6 will be held on August 26-27, 2010 in conjunction with Thailand Textile Symposium 2010 orThaiTEX2010 and the Sixth National Chitin-Chitosan Conference or 6th NCCC at Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok.

MSAT is organized by MTEC every two years. The aim of the conference is to serve as a forum for participants from academia, government agencies and industry to report on progress in research and development, to interact, and to identify opportunities for co-operation in this fields.

The program will be comprised of keynote & invited speakers and oral & poster presentations follow the scopes below:
- Materials for Automotive
- Materials for Construction
- Materials for Energy
- Materials for Environment
- Materials for Food & Agriculture
- Materials for Health & Medicine

Our invited speakers as follow:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sandhya Babel, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University entitle “Low Cost Adsorbents (Materials) for Heavy Metal Removal”
- Ms. Lucy Bialek, Univer Netherlands entitle “Designed Natural Texturisers from Agro-Based Sustainable Sources”
- Assoc. Prof. Dilok Sriprapai, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi
- Prof. Dr. Somnuk Tangtermsirikul, Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University
- Specialist from Delcam (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

ThaiTEX2010 is organized by MTEC and Chulalongkorn University. This conference will composed of 2 keynote speakers such as Prof. Xin John H., Hong Kong entitle “Innovation in superhydrophobic textiles” and Prof. Toshihiro Hirai, Japan entitle “Trend of Fiber /Textile Research Through a Scope of Shinshu University”, oral and poster presentation following topics: textile materials, textile technology, textile biotechnology and smart textiles.
